PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colorimetric device capable of efficiently measuring a color of a patch on a recording medium formed by an image formation apparatus, an image formation apparatus including this colorimetric device, and a colorimetric method.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus according to an embodiment includes: a colorimetric camera acquiring color data on each of a plurality of patches formed on a recording medium by sequentially moving to a position opposed to each of the patches; an interruption control unit 31 interrupting acquisition of the color data by the colorimetric camera when an error is detected; a first determination unit 32 determining whether the detected error is a predetermined error preset as an error which damages the recording medium; and a restart control unit 37 controlling the colorimetric camera to restart acquisition of the color data from the patch on which the color data is not acquired after canceling the detected error when it is determined that the detected error is not the predetermined error.
