PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chuck body having high retention and breakage resistance of a lead and a small amount of driving-in of a lead regardless of material and size of the chuck.SOLUTION: A chuck body 31 comprises: a clamp 11 which is hollow state and an approximately cylindrical shape, and has a taper inner face 13 in which a diameter of the hole changes gradually in an axial line direction; and a chuck 21 having a divided end 23 divided into two or three pieces, in which the divided end 23 freely enters and goes out from the clamp 11 and which has a taper outer face 24 coming into contact with the taper inner face 13 when it enters the clamp 11. When the divided end 23 of the chuck 21 closes in the clamp 11 and holds a lead 10, the angle of the taper outer face 24 of the chuck 21 to the central axial line of the chuck 21 is approximately equal to the angle of the taper inner face 13 of the clamp 11. |
