Class 142(4) [Also in Group VIII] The base fabric, which is coated to form conveyer belts, driving belts, or carrying straps, has a warp which substantially consists of metal wires or strands and a weft which substantially consists of continuous filaments of synthetic resinous material, e.g. superpolyamides, superpolyurethanes, superpolyurea, superpolyesters, polyacrylonitriles, polyacrylic and polymethacrylic acid esters, and polyethylenes. Filaments of the synthetic resin may be inserted between the metal wires of the warp and may have been previously subjected to a shrinking by heat-treatment. The metal wires, which may be single threads or strands, may be steel and may be zinc coated. |
