PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent that improves a cognitive function by an action mechanism different from those of conventional agents, and to provide use of the agent.SOLUTION: A neural stem cell proliferation promoter includes (1) an insulin-like growth factor 2 protein or (2) an expression vector that holds an insulin-like growth factor 2 gene, as an active ingredient. There is also provided a cognitive dysfunction medicament including the proliferation promoter.
