The adjuster (1) has a drive element (2) and an output element (3) that are arranged coaxially to axis of rotation (6) of adjuster. The drive element and output element form contrary acting working chambers that are defined by respective pair of wings of drive element and output element. The working chambers with hydraulic medium are pressurized to relative rotation between drive element and output element. A locking hole (7) is accommodated with a locking piston (8) within wing of drive element. The locking piston latches to a locking link (9) in output element.
