Disclosed are a radio frequency (RF) coil device, a magnetic resonance apparatus applying the same, and a method of operating an RF coil device. The disclosed RF coil device, which is for a magnetic resonance apparatus, includes RF coil elements which generate an RF magnetic field; and a support member on which the RF coil devices are mounted. The support member changes the position of at least one of the RF coil devices.
