<p>The present invention provides a purification apparatus which is capable of effectively purifying a liquid. This purification apparatus is provided with: a retainer tank (41) for retaining a liquid; a power supply; a pair of electrodes (64, 65) which are connected to the power supply (70) and generate a discharge, thereby producing hydroxyl radicals in the liquid within the retainer tank (41); and an ultrasonic wave generation unit (94) which converts hydrogen peroxide, which has been generated by the conversion of the thus-produced hydroxyl radicals, in the liquid into hydroxyl radicals by irradiating the liquid within the retainer tank (41) with ultrasonic waves.</p> |
