PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing titanium capable of efficiently obtaining a titanium alloy and capable of continuously producing metal titanium at a low cost by refining the titanium alloy.SOLUTION: The method for producing titanium comprises: a step (1) of adding titanium tetrachloride to a mixture including magnesium and at least one kind of metal selected from bismuth and antimony to obtain a liquid alloy of the metal(s) and titanium; and a step (2) of performing refining treatment of removing the components other than titanium from the liquid alloy.
