A connection element (2) for fuel injection systems (1) is used to connect a fuel injection valve to a fuel-conducting component. A main body (4) having a receiving space (15), into which a fuel connecting piece (3) of the fuel injection valve can be introduced, and a fastening element (5) are provided. At least one cut-out (17-20) is made in a wall (21) of the main body (4) that surrounds the receiving space (15), the fastening element (5) being introduced at least partially through the cut-out (17-20) into the receiving space (15) to fasten the fuel connecting piece (3) to the main body (4). At least one elastic bearing element (27-30; 27') is also provided, the fastening element (5) that is introduced partially through the cut-out (17-20) into the receiving space (15) being supported on the wall (21) of the main body (4) by means of the elastic bearing element (27-30; 27'). A fuel injection system (1) having a connection element (2) of this type is also specified.
