NOVEL SHELL AND TUBE HEAT EXCHANGER

Disclosed is a novel shell and tube heat exchanger. A distributor (6) is arranged inside the novel shell and tube heat exchanger. A tube-side medium inlet (1) is communicated with a plurality of U-shaped heat exchange tube (9) inlets through the distributor (6). The distributor (6) distributes the tube-side medium entering from the tube-side medium inlet (1) evenly into each U-shaped heat exchange tube (9). The U-shaped heat exchange tubes (9) are two or more U-shaped heat exchange tubes (9) connected in series. The two or more U-shaped heat exchange tubes (9) are connected in series through U-shaped elbows (8). By changing the number of the U-shaped heat exchange tubes (9) in series connection, the length of the tube-side of the heat exchange tubes is increased exponentially. The tube-side medium flowing from the U-shaped heat exchange tube (9) flows into another U-shaped heat exchange tube (9) again. The tube-side medium circulates back and forth multiple times in two or more U-shaped heat exchange tubes (9), so the defect of inadequate tube-side is overcome, and advantages of good reliability and easy installation are obtained. Moreover, U-shaped heat exchange tubes (9) can be variable-diameter pipes. By arranging the detail constructions of the distributor (6) and a collector (7) in the novel shell and tube heat exchanger, the heat exchange efficiency is increased.
