PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a method that forms a high quality lens inexpensively in fabricating a lens having a multilayer structure by multistep polymerization, and to provide a new fabrication method that improves a yield of a finished lens, and to provide a lens that is fabricated by the new fabrication method.SOLUTION: A multilayer contact lens fabrication method includes the steps of: (a) filling a first polymerizable composition into a concave mold forming a lens outer surface; (b), while rotating the concave mold, polymerizing the first polymerizable composition under a gas atmosphere containing oxygen concentration of 0.1 to 3%; (c) filling a second polymerizable composition onto an exposed surface of the first polymerizable composition polymer; and (d) fitting a first convex mold into the concave mold from above the second polymerizable composition, and then, polymerizing the second polymerizable composition. |
