PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To configure a battery pack by multiple series connection and multiple parallel connection of batteries, and to facilitate dealing with failure by localizing the failure of each battery and suppressing an influence on an entire battery pack device, even when increasing the capacity and the voltage.SOLUTION: In the battery pack device, a plurality of batteries are connected in series to constitute a battery group, and a plurality of battery groups are connected in parallel. A plurality of voltage detection lines of the battery pack device connect the terminals of batteries having an equivalent reference potential level, out of the batteries constituting a battery group, in parallel across the plurality of battery groups. Overcurrent prevention means is provided between the terminals of a battery, and when an overcurrent is generated in any battery, the overcurrent is prevented from flowing into other battery group than the battery group to which the battery belongs via the voltage detection lines. |
