PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet image forming apparatus which is capable of suppressing pollution in surrounding environment even after completing image forming.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 comprises a fixing part 30, a carrier liquid recovery mechanism 60, and a control part. The fixing part 30 includes a cover 31 and a non-contact heating part 40 and a heating and pressing part 50 which are disposed in an internal space 33 surrounded by the cover 31, for fixing toner. The carrier liquid recovery mechanism 60 recovers carrier liquid vapor evaporating from a recording medium 6 by being heated in the internal space 33 of the fixing part 30, by cooling and condensing it. The control part keeps operating the carrier liquid recovery mechanism 60 continuously for a prescribed period after image forming using the fixing part 30 is completed. |
