PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float type drain trap capable of: preventing a valving element from repetitively opening/closing a valve port little by little; and detecting how many times the valving element opens/closes the valve port.SOLUTION: A float type drain trap includes: a lever 9 and a main arm 10 to be revolved around a rocking shaft 8 supported in a valve chest 5; a float 12 connected to the lever 9 for floating up/down depending on a liquid level in the valve chest 5; a coil spring 16 mounted between a lever shaft 11 supported by the lever 9 and a main arm shaft 14 supported by the main arm 10; a valve arm 18 to be revolved around a valve arm shaft 17 supported by the main arm 10; a valving element 20 connected to th valve arm 18 for opening/closing a valve port 6; and a float position detecting switch 33 for detecting the position of the float 12 to detect how many times the valving element 20 opens/closes the valve port 6. When the float 12 floats up to a second predetermined high level slightly lower than a predetermined high level, the float position detecting switch 33 is turned on, and when the float 12 floats down below the second predetermined high level, the float position detecting switch 33 is turned off. |
