PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change sample paper discharge interval to perform sample paper discharge at a proper timing.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming section for forming an image on a sheet on the basis of a job; and a control section which manages the job to control image formation. The control section enables sample paper discharge output, and determines whether to change sample paper discharge intervale set in sample paper discharge according to image related information on the image during executing the job, to set sample paper discharge interval in consideration of actual image state. The sample paper discharge can be performed at more proper timing, while stabilizing image quality. When output image quality is checked while executing the job in a long-time running machine, cost for sample paper discharge can be reduced. |
