The instrument has an instrument head (4) arranged at a distal end of an instrument with a jaw tool (6). The jaw tool has two jaw units (10a,10b) arranged at a base unit (8) in a pivoted manner. The jaw units are coupled by gear unit with an actuating shaft through the base unit. The jaw units are connected with a base unit by a pin formed to a pivotal axis of the jaw portions. The pin connection of the base part and jaw units is locked by a positive connection of the actuating shaft with the pin.
