The present invention relates to a method for sensing adaptive spectrum using a dual antenna. In the method for sensing adaptive spectrum using a dual antenna, a plurality of wireless modules constitute a wireless cognitive radio (CR) network, one of the wireless modules is used for data transmission, and another of the wireless modules is used for channel sensing and also for data communication when the channel sensing is not required. According to the present invention, multiple input multiple output (MIMO) is applied to the two wireless modules to improve the performance of a link. As such, the present invention provides high throughput and communication between CR nodes that use a wireless frequency sensing algorithm which can be applicable with a dual-antenna structure, and thus the present invention is highly useful in that channel conditions do not have to be monitored on an ongoing basis, a sensing antenna does not operate when the channel sensing is not performed, and high throughput can be obtained while a high level of sensing accuracy is maintained. |
