The present invention relates to a method and a system for detecting tool usage. The present invention checks whether or not a tool passes a workpiece by calculating a current tool position from a reference position using a sensor mounted on a tool for a work. Especially, the present invention can determine whether or not the tool passes all the predetermined work positions on the workpiece. Moreover, the present invention can determine not only whether or not the tool is used, but also, the tool is used at the predetermined position by detecting the position of the tool at the work position intervals on the workpiece. Thus, the present invention can reduce product defects caused when the tool does not perform a designated work. |
