The present invention relates to a method for boosting allicin content in garlic by light radiation such as ultraviolet rays, or the like, and to an apparatus for the same. Provided is an apparatus of boosting allicin content in garlic by light radiation which increases allicin content in garlic by irradiating garlic from a distance of 700 mm with UV-B, or the like with the intensity of 0.129 W/m^2 for a predetermined period of time, comprising: a body unit; a transferring unit arranged on the upper end of the body unit to transfer garlic; a light radiating unit arranged on the upper end of the body unit, having a darkroom inside thereof, forming an entrance and exit on the lower end of the darkroom, and containing a UV lamp inside the darkroom; and a controlling unit arranged in the body unit to control the speed of the transferring unit. |
