<p>A trimmer line, hook disk system in the form of a line trimmer head (e.g. FIGS. 11 & 11A) as a replacement for attaching to a powered, rotational device to provide a line filament grass cutting action, which trimmer head includes a circular, protective base or bottom (D2), a circular, main trimmer head substrate (D3), the two forming a disk shape, and a series of peripherally spaced line holders; with these three basic elements attached together with appropriate fasteners for ultimate attachment to a powered device. Eleven exemplary line holders are shown in FIGS. 1-10B, respectively, with some allowing oscillating (O) motion in their attachment to the trimmer head substrate (D3) and/or fixed (F) in their attachment. A "broom" embodiment is shown in FIG. 18. When in use, flexible line made, for example, of nylon, is inserted in and held by the line holders preferably using hook or hook-like line attachments.</p> |
