The present invention relates to an air conditioner and a manufacturing method thereof. The air conditioner according to the present invention comprises: an axial flow fan motor allowing air to flow in one direction; a mount installed in a different direction perpendicular to the one direction, and fixing the motor; and a housing having the mount fixed thereto, wherein the mount has a cross section of which at least one part becomes wider in the one direction. The manufacturing method of the air conditioner according to the present invention comprises: a step of forming one supporting part and at least two wing parts; a step of forming air guides by bending at least one parts of the wing parts; a step of forming fixing parts by processing the rest parts of the wing parts; a step of installing the fixing parts in the housing; and a step of fixing the motor to the supporting part. The mount for the motor of the air conditioner according to the present invention is capable of reducing pressure drop, hence noise from an outdoor unit can be reduced and power consumption in the air conditioner can be reduced. In addition, manufacturing time or manufacturing costs for the manufacturing method of the air conditioner according to the present invention is equivalent to that of a manufacturing method of an existing air conditioner, hence the equivalent manufacturing time or manufacturing costs are invested in the manufacturing method of the air conditioner according to the present invention compared with the manufacturing method of the existing air conditioner and the noise and the power consumption can be reduced. |
