In a concealed slide fastener with hookshaped slide fastener elements designed to accommodate the thickened edge of a supporting tape, about the free legs of which slide fastener elements the tapes are wrapped and in which a slider having a triangular central abutment with a parallel-sided extension on one side of the triangle embraces the mutually opposed fastener elements laterally below the tapes, guide cheeks or guide shoulders which promote the aligning of the fastener elements during their engagement, are provided on the converging side faces of the triangular abutment and also on parallel sides of the extension. In the arrangement shown, in which the thickened edges 4 of stringer tapes 5 are secured within hook shaped fastener elements 1 which are embraced by a slider below the tapes, the slider is formed with guide cheeks 7 on the wedgeshaped abutment 8 of the slider, the guide cheeks being preferably rounded or convex in cross section and progressively diminishing in cross section towards the inner end of the abutment 8. The exit and or entry ends of the slider are flared outwardly as indicated at 11 and 12. |
