PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat storage device preventing the evaporation of a heat storage material and hardly corroding a heat exchanger. SOLUTION: The heat storage device 20 includes a heat storage vessel 23 containing the heat storage material 24 and an oil layer 26 layered on the upper part of the heat storage material 24, and the heat exchanger 25 disposed to be dipped in the heat storage material 24 in the heat storage vessel 23. The oil layer 26 has two or more kinds of hydrocarbon with pour points different from one another as principal components, and a fractional distillation boiling point of at least one kind of the hydrocarbon is higher than the boiling point of the heat storage material.
