PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic carrier for an electrophotographic developer, the carrier exhibiting excellent electric characteristics and stable electric resistance with respect to voltage and giving an image excellent in gradation, and to provide a two-component developer comprising a toner and the magnetic carrier for an electrophotographic developer. SOLUTION: The magnetic carrier for electrophotography comprises spherical magnetic composite particles obtained by dispersing black magnetic iron oxide particles in a binder resin, wherein an electric resistance value R<SB>100</SB>at an applied voltage of 100 V is 1×10<SP>8</SP>to 1×10<SP>14</SP>Ωcm and an electric resistance value R<SB>300</SB>at an applied voltage of 300 V satisfies the relationship represented by 0.1≤R<SB>300</SB>/R<SB>100</SB>≤1.
