Expected heat treatment is performed by giving uniform heating hysteresis to a plurality of long objects inserted into a radiant box type heating furnace. Particularly, a plurality of long objects inserted along a transverse side wall constituting a long side of a box type furnace is arranged to form downward slope toward the width center of a hearth part from the furnace side wall, when the long object is heated by radiant heat from at least the transverse side wall.
