The actuator (1) has a movable actuating unit (7) i.e. valve lifter, and an elongated wire-shaped shape memory alloy element (2) that is provided for a unidirectional movement of the movable actuating unit. A connector (4) is fixed at a wire end (3) of the alloy element, where the connector is partly made of electrically non-conducting material. A molded interconnect device component (5) is provided with a strip conductor (6). The connector is mechanically connected with a non-conducting material of the component. The connector is in contact with a contact surface of the strip conductor. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an actuator. |
