PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inhibiting a biofilm formation in the presence of an oil. SOLUTION: The method for inhibiting a biofilm formation includes bringing (A) a compound represented by formula (1): RO-(PO)m(EO)n-H (wherein R is an 8-14C hydrocarbon; PO is propyleneoxy; EO is ethyleneoxy; m and n are each average addition mole number and 0.5≤m≤3, 0≤n≤3 and 0.5≤m+n≤5; EO and PO are block addition and the addition order of EO and PO is of no matter) and (B) an 8-22C alkyl group-containing alkyl benzenesulfonic acid and/or a 8-22C alkyl group-containing secondary alkylsulfonate salt into contact with a microorganism in the presence of an oil.
