<p>There is described a diagnostic apparatus (1) for analysing a blood sample, the apparatus comprising a luminometer (9) for generating a“luminescence curve”and white blood cell counters (5,7) for determining a lymphocyte count and a neutrophil count, and processing means (10) to determine a physical condition of the subject on the basis of the“luminescence curve”and the white blood cell counts. A diagnostic method is also disclosed, for determining the physical condition of a subject on the basis of the blood test data. A diagnostic system is also disclosed in which data generated by blood tests carried out at a remote location may be communicated to a central server (201), where a fitness result may be generated, and thence communicated to the subject or a third party. The server may also store additional information relating to the subject, which may be made accessable to remote users.</p> |
