Provided is a communication method by a station (STA) that operates in power save mode in a wireless LAN system. The method includes transmitting a probe request frame to an access point (AP), wherein the probe request frame includes system information identification information to identify system information acquired by the STA, and receiving a probe response frame from the AP in response to the probe request frame. The probe response frame includes a time stamp value relevant to a time when the probe response frame is transmitted. When it is determined that an updated information exists, which is not included in the acquired system information based on the system information identification information, the probe response frame further includes the updated information. A communication method by an AP in a wireless LAN system is provided. The method includes receiving a probe request frame from an STA, wherein the probe request frame includes information relevant to a wake-up duration time when the STA operates in an awake state, and transmitting a probe response frame to the STA in response to the probe request frame. The probe response frame is transmitted within the wake-up duration time. |
