摘要 Device for the emission or amplification of a signal, comprising an optical fiber (1) having a solid core (2) of refractive index nc, made of a silica glass doped with a rare earth, such as erbium, ytterbium or neodymium, said core being surrounded by an optical cladding (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) comprising at least a pair of silica layers composed of a first, inner layer (3), having a refractive index greater than the refractive index nc of the core (2), covered by a second, outer layer (4). The optical fiber (1) comprises several pairs of silica layers (3, 4; 5, 6; 7, 8) around the core (2), each pair comprising an inner layer (3, 5, 7) of refractive index ni and an outer layer (4, 6, 8) of refractive index ne, the refractive index ne of the outer layer being lower that the refractive index ni of the inner layer of the same pair.
