PURPOSE: A method for recognizing touch input using interpolation and an apparatus for performing the same are provided to quickly recognize touch input made by a user. CONSTITUTION: A touch screen(410) provides at least one coordinate value which is corresponding to a touch trace. A control unit(420) determines an inflection point based on the provided coordinate. The control unit acquires a line function which connects the neighboring two inflection points. The control unit determines a type of the touch input based on the result of applying the predetermined coordinate among the coordinates. At least one of the coordinate is corresponded to the touched trace between the neighboring two inflection points. |
