Disclosed is an apparatus to prevent coke oven gas from flowing backwards. For this purpose, the present invention comprises: a vectoring preventing device having an end fixated to one side surface inside a hopper and includes a first plate inclined downwards toward the central part of the hopper so as to prevent coal in the hopper from being vectored into a carbonizing chamber; a second plate arranged on a side surface opposite to one side surface inside the hopper having the first plate combined therewith; a sensor arranged on the hopper to detect the backward flow of gas into the hopper; a first cylinder and a second cylinder arranged to penetrate the inner side surface of the hopper and connected to the first plate and the second plate respectively; and a control part to adjust the downward inclination angles of the first plate and the second plate by receiving the signal of backward flowing gas from the sensor, thus controlling the first cylinder and the second cylinder. |
