The present invention relates to a device and a method for processing packets in a multiprocessor system, the device and the method delivering the packets to a packet distribution engine that performs the distribution of the packets before processing the packets when receiving the packets, determining a packet delivery path from the packet distribution engine by applying a predetermined packet distribution algorithm, and accordingly delivering the received packets to the packet distribution engine to perform packet processing. According to the present invention, packet delay and performance drop in a multiprocessor system can be prevented. |
