The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for operating a prepaid gas gift certificate which allows a user to use a prepaid gas gift certificate limited times per day and applies a differentiated discount rate according to limited usage numbers, thereby increasing a rate of return of a prepaid gas certificate issuer. The method for operating a prepaid gas gift certificate according to the present invention comprises: a first step of transmitting a deposit request to a bank server over communication network by a prepaid gas gift certificate issuer server and paying the deposit to a relevant gas station terminal by the bank server when a customer deposits money in a prepaid gas gift certificate using the gas station terminal; a second step of transmitting payment information to the issuer server by the gas station terminal when the customer pays for gas using the gas gift certificate paid in the first step after depositing; and a third step of transmitting discount information to the bank server by the issuer server in order to deduct a given point discount from the payment when the customer uses the gas gift certificate once a day, and transmitting information on gas payment subtraction to the bank from the second usage of the gas gift certificate per day. |
