<p>A portable davit base for removable omnidirectional attachment to a rooftop pedestal having a round top plate flush with the finished roof includes two opposing side plates connected with a rectangular tube facilitating relative movement of the plates thus enabling clamping on and off of the side plates onto the pedestal top round plate. The opposing side plates have elongated horizontal apertures for clamping onto the pedestal top plate and horizontally spaced apertures for connecting davit mast bottom and its pivoting and locking pins for pivotal mounting and erection of the davit mast whereas said erection can be orientated in any direction in the horizontal plane. The rectangular tube connecting two side plates bears a locking and latching lever that, with a single action pivoting movement firmly clamps and locks the two side plates onto the davit pedestal thus providing for a rigid and reliable connection and support of the davit arm assembly at the rooftop and safe and secure use of the suspended scaffolding over the side of the building.</p> |
