The present invention relates to an AC LED lighting device using a voltage edge detecting unit. The present invention provides the AC LED lighting device comprising: a rectifying unit for rectifying AC voltage and converting the same into rectified voltage of direct current before outputting; an LED light emitting unit including a first light emitting group and a second light emitting group consisting of at least one LED; and an LED driving control unit for comparing the voltage level of the rectified voltage inputted from the rectifying unit with standard voltage, to control serial and parallel connections of the first light emitting group and the second light emitting group, wherein the LED driving control unit detects the gradient of the rectified voltage, and senses the voltage level of the rectified voltage and the gradient of the detected rectified voltage simultaneously to set the standard voltage.
