The invention relates to a package (1 ) for a liquid product, preferably a cosmetic product such as a shampoo or a perfume, and to a method for producing the same. The package comprises a container (2) having a bottom (4) and a circumferential wall (5) surrounding the circumference of the bottom, which extends up to an upper edge (8). The bottom and the circumferential wall enclose a product space. The package comprises a cap (3) connected to or near the upper edge, which is provided with an outflow element (10). The circumferential wall is compressible along at least part of a height thereof so as to thus reduce the internal volume of the container for discharging the liquid product present in the container from the container via an outlet opening of the outflow element. At least the circumferential wall of the container is formed by thermoforming, and the cap is formed by injection-moulding, thus making it possible to realise a major saving on material. |
