The present invention relates to an image display device for advertising and a content providing method for advertising effects using the same and, more specifically, to an image display device for advertising, which can provide a dynamic content through a screen of the image display device to raise the curiosity of unspecified individuals regarding advertisements (or products), thereby improving advertising effects. To achieve this, the image display device for advertising according to the present invention includes: an image providing unit which photographs a subject using cameras arranged in a store which sells products and provides the photographed image; an image determining unit which divides static subjects and dynamic subjects in the image photographed by the image providing unit and determines the image; a content providing unit which provides, as content, a transcribed image of a product to be sold in the static or dynamic subjects included in the image analyzed by the image determining unit; a synthesizing unit which synthesizes the content provided by the content providing unit with the image provided by the image determining unit; a display unit which receives an image synthesized by the synthesizing unit and displays the received image on an external screen; and a secondary image providing unit which is displayed as a partially divided screen on the display unit and displays an actual image of the product to be sold provided by the image providing unit. |
