An imaging apparatus is disclosed. The imaging device comprises a first imaging unit; a second imaging unit capable of capturing an image in the same direction as the first imaging unit; a display unit for displaying a live view; and a control unit for displaying an image inputted from the first imaging unit as the live view, and displaying an image inputted from the second imaging unit as the live view when a live view non-displayable section of the first imaging unit occurs. Therefore, even when the live view image cannot be smoothly displayed using an image inputted to a main camera, the live view image can be smoothly displayed using an image inputted to an auxiliary camera.
