[Also in Group XVII] In a sealing strip for packages of the kind comprising a self-adhesive strip 1 and a non-adhesive, central, tearing strip 3 laid on the adhesive side of strip 1, indentations 1c, which may be transverse as shown, or criss-cross diagonal lines, are provided in strip 1 to prevent total surface contact between adjacent layers of the self-adhesive strip when the sealing strip is wound into a roll. The self-adhesive strip may be scored along the edges of the tearing strip to facilitate tearing. The strips 1 and 3 may be of paper, plastic material, or fabric, or one may be of plastic material and the other of paper. When both are of plastic material they may be of different colours. |
