The package has a base (3) including a rectangular bottom (7) having four walls (9a-9d) extending from the bottom and designed to be erected vertically to the bottom in a use configuration of the base. A cover is intended to conceal the opening of the base in the use configuration. The base and the cover are intended to adopt a flattened configuration from the use configuration only by folding a lid to facilitate flat stacking of the package. The bottom of the base is provided with openings (8) to drain water. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for flattening a base of a package (2) a method for installation of a cover on a package.
