The method involves simultaneous lowering stampers to a die for transformation by radial expansion of an end section of a pipe to form an end disk (12). One of the stampers is lowered by withdrawing the other stamper to form an axial protruding bulge (15) that projects over a side of an upper surface (51) of a flange and forms a collar between the flange and the die. The stampers are lowered to the die to transform a section of the pipe by radial expansion to form a system collar (13) in contact against a surface (52) of the flange. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement comprising a metallic tube.
