The present invention relates to an apparatus for processing images of vehicles and a method thereof. The method according to the present invention comprises: a step of receiving the images from a camera installed on a vehicle; a step of dividing the received images into an attention area among a plurality of attention areas depending on each distance from the camera; and a step of processing the images for adjusting a resolution on the applicable attention area. Through the present invention, a user can easily improve the resolution of a desired object.
