The tool (10) has a tail (16) received in a rotary axial chuck of a surfacing machine. A cylindrical head (18) comprises a plate (30) receiving a support (22) of a brush to be surfaced. The plate carries two supports distributed angularly in a regular way around an axial direction (A). Each of the supports includes a first face (42) bearing bristles (24) with a determined type and length to provide the brush carrying shading bristles and different uses on the same tool. A second face (44) of the support is fixed on the plate of the head through a screw (46) which traverses the support.
