The invention refers to the quantification of biomarkers for the differential diagnosis of neuropsychiatric diseases, such as tauopathies, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia, which consists in a process based on the qualitative and/or quantitative identification and/or determination of a subcellular structure, such as: the primary cilia and/or neurofibrillary tangles and/or tau protein associated to microtubules and/or calcium channels dependent on type L voltage. The application of this process is performed by a kit that consists on a set of reactants and/or solutions and/or pattern solutions and/or control biological materials and/or manuals and/or interpretation guides for the specific detection and/or quantification of biomarkers of samples obtained in vivo and/or postmortem from healthy patients and/or pathological controls. The elements of the kit are useful for carrying out the differential diagnosis between schizophrenia and bipolar disorder and the evolution degree of the ta uopathies by the quantification of the characteristic biomarkers, also allowing the predisposition to some of these pathologies to be determined. |
