The invention relates to a cosmetic composition that comprises, in a cosmetically acceptable medium, a random ethylenic polymer that can be obtained exclusively by the polymerisation of monomers bearing given reactive groups and non-ionic monomers. The composition can particularly be a capillary composition for hair protection and/or repair, in particular for weakened and/or damaged hair. The invention also relates to a cosmetic treatment method that uses said cosmetic composition.
