PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elemental analyzer which allows for preventing liquid in a liquid pool unit from being sucked into gas flow channels using a simple low cost configuration that requires no cumbersome maintenance work.SOLUTION: Pressure control mechanisms 5, 6 are provided, which allow for controlling pressure on the upstream side of a drain pot 33 by opening and closing vent ports 51, 61 to expose the upstream side of the drain pot (liquid pool unit) 33 to external pressure. Opening the vent ports 51, 61 and increasing pressure on the upstream side of the drain pot 33 prevents liquid in the drain pot 33 from being sucked into gas flow channels 105, 206. The pressure control mechanisms 5, 6, being simple mechanisms involving just opening and closing of the vent ports 51, 61, can be realized at low costs and do not require cumbersome maintenance work. |
