The present invention relates to a display device and a method for manufacturing the same and, more specifically, to a display device comprising a thin film which can be formed using an inkjet printing method, and to a method for manufacturing the same. The method for manufacturing the display device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: forming an outer frame on a first substrate; and forming a thin film by dropping thin film ink inside the edge defined as the outer frame, wherein the edge of the thin film is limited by the outer frame, and the outer frame comprises a material having a less surface energy than the surface energy of the thin film ink.
