PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slurry composition which makes possible to produce, by means of dry granulation by spray drying, composite particles for positive electrodes which have good electric property even with a solid content for a lithium ion battery having a high concentration; and a method for manufacturing composite particles for positive electrodes with a high productivity.SOLUTION: A slurry composition for composite particles for positive electrodes comprises: a positive electrode active material; a conductive material; a water-soluble resin including an acid functional group-containing monomer unit; and a particulate binding resin. The slurry composition has a moisture percentage of 25 mass% or less, and a viscosity of 2000 mPa s or less with a shear rate of 10 s. A method for manufacturing composite particles for positive electrodes comprises: a mixing-and-kneading step for producing a kneaded mixture by mixing and kneading a mixture of a positive electrode active material, a conductive material, and a water-soluble resin including an acid functional group-containing monomer unit; a slurry-preparing step for producing a slurry composition having a moisture percentage of 25 mass% or less and a viscosity of 2000 mPa s or less with a shear rate of 10 sby adding a particulate binding resin and water to the kneaded mixture; and a granulation step for producing composite particles by performing a spray drying process on the slurry composition. |
