PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that is excellent in usability similarly to an existing medium, and enables immediate provision of information, and a control method for the display device.SOLUTION: A head-mounted display device HM comprises: a medium recognition unit 152 that detects information visible to a user; display means that performs display so that it is visible to the user; and an update processing unit 154 that causes the display means to display new information corresponding to the information detected by the medium recognition unit 152, with the new information superimposed on at least part of the information. |
